Writing a Persuasive Essay Outline
Writing a Persuasive Essay OutlineThe rule of thumb for writing a persuasive essay outline is to use different templates to serve different purposes. For example, you can use a template to get your head straight before you write, a template to organize your thoughts after you have written and an outline to link all your thoughts together when you are editing. The first step to putting together a persuasive essay outline is to develop a strategy for writing an outline first. Many people confuse an outline with a 'quick story' in which they describe the story as they go along but that's a mistake. You must write a 'mood' to describe your outline. This should be related to the topic of the entire paper, if not more related. After all, the whole point of the writing exercise is to get your reader's thinking, not simply repeating what you say in your own words. If you're not sure how to develop a good plan for writing an outline, consider the following guidelines. Firstly, do your research. Do not simply assume that the information will help you decide on the content of your paper. Instead, think about the content of your paper itself and how it will appear to people who read it.Secondly, begin by researching and writing a search engine optimized article on the subject of your paper. If your research is of an hour or two, consider using blog commenting software to capture your thoughts about the topic. Use the comments to build a structure and begin to write an outline. The third step to writing an outline is to develop an outline by following a step-by-step approach to writing the first sentence of your essay. You can use this to start the research process and when you get close to completing your outline. You may choose to write the entire first sentence or you may use different sentence fragments, each of which will act as the spine of your persuasive essay outline.A good essay outline starts with a strong opening paragraph. In this sentence, make sure you give your readers the impression that you are a person of influence or that your ideas will have a major impact on their lives. Avoid the temptation to ramble on and do not use clichés such as 'simply stated'because.'Write in your best set style, keeping your paragraphs short and to the point. Remember, writing a persuasive essay outline does not take as long as you may believe. And once you've written your first paragraph, you'll be writing the rest of your outline with your eyes closed.
